farmhouse in Tuscany, Italy, dates from the 15th century
and has been fully and authentically restored. This
noble residence was owned by the Bishop of Lucca as a summer retreat in
the early 19th century.

The gracious 15th century farmhouse has been
authentically restored to provide you a Tuscany
farmhouse holiday. Complete with all of the modern conveniences
and a swimming pool, this Tuscan villa rental, which
sleeps 10, will
surround you with the warmth and old world charm that we
are sure you will enjoy. At Mura di Sopra you can
be immersed in the authenticity of country life and at
the same time get to know the culture which is present
in the history and art of Tuscany.

Enjoy relaxing under the Tuscan sun in the swimming pool
(6x12 metres) or resting quietly on the terraces
overlooking olive groves on
the hillside below and the
majestic Apuane Alps in the distance.
The whole pool area is in full sunshine from about
10a.m. until sunset. The pool is solar heated to about
80-86 degrees Fahrenheit from mid May until late
September.


Dine alfresco Tuscan style, surrounded by colourful
flowers, lemon and lime trees and an array of mature
native Italian trees including chestnuts, cypresses and
fruit trees.


Enjoy hiking the paths and meadows around the about 16
hectares (40 acre) estate of Le Mura di Sopra which is
located a short 10 minute walk from the local Tuscan
village of Benabbio.
Weather
The house is at about 1500 feet above sea level. The
summers are hot with temperatures in the 80's in July
and August. The evenings are cooler so sleeping is not
uncomfortable. May June and September are usually in the
high 70's and 80's. October is more variable but usually
in the 70's.
Mura di Sopra is available to rent
throughout the year.
