Ground Floor

The essence of an Italian country house are found in the ground floor sitting room.  Terracotta floors, hand hewn chestnut beams and stone walls create a cosy atmosphere perfect for relaxing with family and friends.  Step through the doorway to the patio between the house and the barn, to enjoy dining al fresco at the granite topped table with seating for 14. Adding to your enjoyment the sitting room offers satellite TV, video and DVD players, as well as the convenience of internet access. 

The large cheery kitchen with ample marble topped work space that will make your self catered holiday a cooking a pleasure.  The dining area has seating for 12 people. The kitchen and scullery are fully equipped with all modern conveniences. The laundry is located just off the kitchen with a washing machine, dryer and a downstairs toilet.

One of the joys of a self catering Tuscan farmhouse holiday stay is shopping for your food in the nearby villages and towns.  You will find the basic provision you need in the shop in Bennabio where there is also a newsagent with stamps and a post box.  Bagni di Lucca, the local town, is a short 5 minute drive. Here you will find full shopping facilities, 3 supermarkets and a wine specialist. Wednesday and Saturday are market days, an event you won't want to miss. Bagni di Lucca also offers and wonderful variety of restaurants to tempt you when you are ready for a break from sightseeing and shopping.

If self catering isn't your style or you just want time off from cooking, some or all of your means can be prepared  by our delightful housekeeper. She also specialises in authentic Tuscan meals for special occasions.

First Floor

Spacious formal sitting room elegantly furnished with antiques. To insure your comfort when visiting during the cooler months, the house has full central heating. Adding to the charm of this delightful sitting room is a wood burning stove that can be used when the weather is cold or to take the morning chill from the air.

Large twin bedroom with furnished with local antiques and typically styled Tuscan iron bedsteads with ornamental headboards.  The en-suite bathroom has a large free-standing bath tub, toilet, and power shower.
